Watch To the Wonder

To The Wonder is a romantic drama that follows the life of Neil, an aspiring writer, who is torn between the two women he loves: Marina a European woman who came to America to be with him, and Jane, a lost love from his hometown in Oklahoma whom he reconnects with. As the film begins, Neil and Marina are at Mont St. Michel, an island in France known to the French locals as The Wonder of the Western World. Neil has left several unhappy affairs behind in the United States and is in search of a better life. With Marina, Neil feels he has finally found the one woman he can commit to and vow to love forever.

Marina, a quiescent and lovely woman, is now a divorced mother of 10-year-old daughter, Tatiana. Penniless and only 16 years old, Marina migrated from the Ukraine to Paris. It was there she met and married a Frenchman. The marriage ended when he left her and their daughter deserted in a small apartment. She was forced to work an array of temporary jobs in order for her and her daughter to survive. Neil is Marina's liberation from a hopeless and unhappy existence.

Within the next two years, Marina has moved to America and they are living close to Neil's childhood home in Oklahoma. Neil has found work he loves, but no longer feels love for Marina. And, even though Marina feels her happiness is slipping away from her, she still feels comfort in her new surroundings.

Complications in their relationship and the expiration of Marina's visa lead her to move back to France with Tatiana. After she leaves, Neil reconciles with Jane and finds new love with her. However, when he gets word that Marina is not doing well, and her daughter has left her to be with her father, Neil arranges for her to return to America.
